A rang of design

Paul Marcus Fuog Australia

This is a very interesting art work, the text look like flying on the post. It has most cubism style, it has full of design feeling. And it can catch people eyes, but it also have some problem. Firstly, if you see it long time, you will feel very strange, because people can not understanding what the meaning about this post. The secondly, the text is very hard to read. Designer change the words appearance, in this way, it will cause the text not clear. The third one is that colour, the purple background with the red shap shows really discordantly. For this poster, i personally think it have to change the colour, the background can use the black or gray, because those two colour can make this poster increase dimensional sense. And the shap can keep red colour, maybe dark red can help the poster catch the eyes. In addition, the designer can make it better. The poster theme not very clean, so if the designer can put a tatil on the poster, the tatil also make like the other words, it will be better.

The simple linear geometric shape help the layout more interesting, and the different colour line make the geometric shape looks like the 3D effect. The other interesting thing is the geometric shape and text, image coincide, but the layout still look good.

There are a range of linear geometric shape type setting, the designer left a lot of space in those design.
The colour background make the text and the geometric shape more spaciousness. That looks very nice.

Trends and Designers

                           Martin Yang

He is a graphic designer, and is a educator. And he also creative director of HWAT'S graphic design studio, he work in Taiwan aborigines arts very long time. And as we can see from the world, there have more and more people focus the aborigines arts. Many graphic designer think that must have some people to protect aborigines, so they use the indigenous Patton and shape to make the graphic art. The indigenous art always have some interesting things, for example: deities, array, drawing and so on. That is a entirely different world. When Martin Yang introduce his work, we also know some information about Taiwan culture. For our student, that's very good for us to studying graphic design. We can see from the fist art work, that are some indigenous patton, it look likes snowflake, rock and leaf. Although the patton use many different colour,  but it give people a very strong visual effects. Following the increasing numbers of indigenous designer coming. The indigenous art will bring a new trend.

Indigo Design Network

First of all, I think those picture are very funny. She is an Asian designer, but she is not limited in one area. On the contrary, as we can see from her resume, she worked in different place. I think as a designer need to open the eyes. Because only in this way, we can design more and more interesting works. From her works, I feel Paris has full of funy. Every elements make her work more vivid. She use the simple design express to her theme -"DNA". The old style buliding, colorful street gadgets and so on. When they add some simple elements, every thing became a nice design. And those elements are all the Paris characteristics. Though her work, I know the reason of why i come to Australia, because I can learn a lot of new culture, and promote the design concept.

Native American Motifs

This is the Logo address:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_State_Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are an American professional basketball team. This team had four logo in history, the first logo was used yellow and blue colours, there is a yellow circle in the middle, On the right side of the circle have a blue text, on the left side have a picture of California with a star on the bay area. There are two changes happend after that, but not have too many change. In 1997, they changed their logo again. This was a very big change. Thereis a man with defined muscles that is blue in the front of a basketball background. He is carrying a thunder bolt. Under the him, there have a wird" warriors". it uesd orange colour. The text curves, as the 'W' is the largest letter. And right now. it is the new logo for Golden State Warriors. A blue circle for the background, and the name of Golden State Warriors text around the circle. In the circle is the famous golden gate bridge. it used the gold colour. Because the they move from Philadelphia to San Francisc. the Golden Gate Bridge is landmark building in San Francisc. And the gold colour means gold rush. I personally think it is a very funny logo, that not only use the same colour with Golden State Wattiors shirt, and also expressed the symbol of the city of San Francisco.
